It’s time to celebrate Germany’s pride and joy: Riesling. For two weeks, we’re taking part in Riesling Weeks, an initiative by Wines of Germany where restaurants across the country honor the grape in their own unique ways. At Hillenberg, we’re doing what we love most: serving great food, exceptional wines, and creating a menu where flavors truly connect.
We’ve crafted a four-course menu where each dish is built around a specific wine,not the other way around. With asparagus taking center stage (because let’s be honest, is there anything better with Riesling?), you’ll embark on a flavor journey that moves from flirty Mosel freshness to mature depth with over 20 years of aging. Expect elegant notes, sharp acidity, a touch of sweetness where it counts, and that perfect balance only Riesling seems to master.
For those just dropping by for a glass at the bar or keen to explore at their own pace, we’re also pouring a special selection of Rieslings by the glass. Sparkling, dry, off-dry, sweet, sometimes all at once. Along the way you’ll encounter young winemakers, ancient monasteries, biodynamic pioneers, and a few truly exciting bottles served via Coravin.
