Hillenberg is a Mediterranean brasserie on Humlegårdsgatan in central Stockholm, close to Stureplan. Lunch and dinner are served with inspiration from across the Mediterranean, with Linnea Jarnrot as Head Chef. It also works perfectly well to just stop by for a drink at the bar.
At Hillenberg, the kitchen is led by Linnea Jarnrot. She became one of the youngest winners of Sveriges Mästerkock and has since put her own stamp on the Hillenberg menu.
The inspiration comes from across the Mediterranean. Spain, Italy and France meet influences from Greece, Lebanon and North Africa, along with the occasional nod to Linnea’s west coast roots.
The grill plays a central role in the kitchen, and fish and seafood often find their way onto the menu. That might mean grilled sea bass with mojo rojo, gratinated langoustines or octopus with chistorra, grilled corn and chermoula.
The menu at Hillenberg works well for sharing around the table, but there are no real rules.
Order a few dishes together, share a starter and choose a main course each, or keep everything to yourself. Either works.
Alongside the regular menu, there is also Linnea’s Selection, where new dishes are introduced depending on the season, availability and what the kitchen is especially excited to cook at the moment.
Hillenberg serves lunch every weekday on Humlegårdsgatan in Stockholm city.
Each week brings a new lunch menu, with a different dish every day and the same Mediterranean inspiration as the evening menu.
If the daily special is not quite what you are after, selected dishes from the à la carte menu are also available. That makes lunch at Hillenberg just as suitable for a quick break in the workday as for those who happen to have a little more time.
In the evening, Hillenberg continues with the regular menu, where smaller dishes, fish, seafood and things from the grill all share space on the table.
The restaurant is close to both Stureplan and Östermalm, making it an easy choice for dinner in central Stockholm. Come for a few dishes to share, a longer dinner or something in between.
It does not need to be more complicated than that.
The bar is a big part of Hillenberg.
The wine cellar has been built up over many years and continues to grow with bottles we genuinely like. The cocktail menu takes inspiration from the same parts of the Mediterranean as the kitchen.
Dinner is therefore by no means a requirement. A drink after work is reason enough.

The dining room and bar sit under the same roof, and the restaurant is open from lunch through to the evening.
